Span of Killings: 1928, 1958, 1988

Number of Victims: 30

Location of Killings: Boise, Idaho and Eagle, Idaho

Background

The Order of Moloch's Stone was a cult that resided in western Idaho (Ada and Canyon County). Their members worshiped a being known as Moloch. Moloch is the Canaanite god of fire and child sacrifice. The Order used a masked figure to collect children (aged 9-16) to sacrifice to Moloch. Members tended to be middle class to lower upper class citizens of society.

The Killings

Every 30 years, starting in 1928, The Order would collect 10 children to perform a blood sacrifice in the Boise Foothills. In 1928, no one noticed. By 1958 they moved the sacrifice location to Eagle Island Prison Farm. When the killings happened in 1958, many families became fearful of that location. In the 1970's, the prison farm became the Eagle Island State Park. The Order continued to perform their meetings here. Many started to become suspicious of their members. Detective Fontana of the Boise Police Department later infiltrated The Order in 1988. On the night of October 17, 1988, The Order attempted to perform their third set of sacrifices. But Detective Fontana was able to call police backup. Everyone of the members were arrested. Unfortunately, the children were already dead.

Theory

With most cult killings, they kill for a reason. I think The Order may have assumed that if they didn't do this, the world would end. My source (see Sources) seems to agree to an extant.

Sources

I also had an anonymous source. Much of what was said has nothing to back it up. No newspapers, no articles, no photos. Nothing. But, I believe the source. I believe a cover up is to blame. If I gain more info I'll post an update.
