First Sighting: 1961
Latest Sighting: 2007
Location of Sightings: North-Western Michigan
Description
The most wildly accepted description of this creature is that of a man covered in fur and with a dog-like face. Some reports have described it as being "the size of a buffalo". It has often been seen walking on two legs.
Sightings
The earliest known sighting occurred during 1961 in Big Rapids, Michigan. During this sighting, a nightwatchmen takes a picture of the monster while it walks near a street. In 1987, a group of teens saw it while at a cabin near Sparta, Michigan. A young girl also witnessed the creature within an abandoned barn in Reed City, Michigan during 1993. In Watersmeet, Michigan, a thirteen-year-old boy witnessed the monster on a road close to a family property in the Winter of 1994. In 2001, a boy and their father have witnessed the creature on separate occasions in the town of Alpena, Michigan. Finally, during 2007, a man saw the creature while on his way home in Bendon, Michigan. There is also a video that shows the Dogman, but it was revealed to be fake.
Theory
After looking through the sightings, I have a theory as to what this thing might be. I believe that there is actually a group of "dogmen". I also believe that the dogmen are a separate species of wolf that has evolved to be more human-like. I say this because there are many Native American legends from Michigan that describe something similar to the Dogman.
