Date discovered: Aproximatley 9000 B.C.
Location: Sedona, Arizona
Background
The Sedona Vortexes are a collection of rock formations near Sedona, Arizona. These formations allegedly emit a spiritual energy. When Native Americans first arrived in Arizona, they were drawn to the spiritual energy. In 1987, a "Harmonic Convergence" occurs as a group of spiritualists travel to Sedona, Arizona. The energy within the vortexes is similar to the energy within ourselves, according to many spiritualists. The vortexes also appear to cause nearby trees to grow in a spiral. Strange lights and sounds also have been reported by visitors. There are four known vortexes: The Airport Vortex, The Cathedral Rock Vortex, The Boynton Canyon Vortex, and The Bell Rock Vortex. Many theorize that there are more vortexes.
Theory
Many scientists theorize that the vortexes are actually electromagnetic fields. These fields affect our minds and cause hallucinations. I believe that these energies are actually from another reality or dimension. I do agree that these energies cause hallucinations, but I also believe that they make the "human spirit" feel stronger.
